Vinayak Vaithianathan in an untitled feature produced by Madboys Entertainment and

Siruni Cine Corporation, with Saikrishna Gadwal as co-producer.

Rukmini Vasanth, known for her performances in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello and Kantara: Chapter 1, has joined hands with Kanam director Shree Karthick for his next Tamil

feature film. Marking their first collaboration, the untitled project will see Rukmini headline the film alongside Dev Ramnath and Vinayak Vaithianathan.

Following Kanam, which blended a high-concept time-travel premise with the emotional depth of a mother-son relationship, Shree Karthick returns with a new venture that brings together a fresh combination of talent.

The makers unveiled the collaboration through a playful announcement video introducing Rukmini as Thara, her character in the film. The video follows Shree Karthick, Dev Ramnath and Vinayak Vaithianathan as they scramble to finalise Thara, only to be

caught off guard by a notification that changes everything. The build-up culminates in Rukmini’s reveal, offering audiences their first glimpse into the film’s world.

In a refreshingly unconventional approach to a film announcement, Madboys

Entertainment has channelled the ups and downs, trials and tribulations of the past 18 months into a fictionalised, Instagram-exclusive docu-drama series. Spanning nine episodes so far, the series blends real experiences with dramatised storytelling,

culminating in the reveal of Rukmini Vasanth as Thara. This inventive approach reflects

Madboys’ creative spirit and adds another dimension to the coming together of Rukmini

and Shree Karthick.

Founded by Dev Ramnath and Shree Karthick, Madboys Entertainment is a creator-led

content studio that has earned recognition for its original storytelling through the popular

Tamil web series I Hate You – I Love You and the award-winning short film Childhood Diaries. With this project, the studio continues its journey into feature filmmaking, bringing its appetite for fresh ideas and unconventional storytelling to the big screen.

The project brings together Madboys Entertainment, Siruni Cine Corporation and co- producer Saikrishna Gadwal. Associated with producer Jaswanth, Siruni Cine Corporation previously backed Chi La Sow, directed by Rahul Ravindran, which won the

National Film Award for Best Original Screenplay. Saikrishna Gadwal, known for his association with Keedaa Cola and Kaantha, is also part of the production team.

With Rukmini Vasanth’s casting now revealed and the title announcement expected

soon, the untitled film brings together a compelling mix of talent and a creative team

keen to approach filmmaking differently.
